Remembering 9/11 by Ralph Reed

Today, we honor the memory of those who gave their lives on September 11, the innocent victims as well as the police and firefighters who defied death and made the ultimate sacrifice to help those in need.  We also honor the troops who are the shield and the sword of our civilization fighting the forces of terror all over the world.  Today we vow never to forget the attacks on U.S. soil that claimed so many innocent lives eleven years ago, and we recommit ourselves to building a world free from the threat of terror and the states that sponsor it.
