FFC Chairman Ralph Reed held an organizational meeting with key grassroots leaders, pastors, and former and current elected officials in Las Vegas, Nevada, on January 22 to launch Faith and Freedom in the state. The leaders were enthusiastic and excited about what FFC can accomplish in 2010 and beyond in Nevada.
Ralph also visited Colorado, where he met with activists, donors, and local leaders active in the Colorado Faith and Freedom Coalition. Ralph spoke at a dinner of prominent local political and business leaders in Denver. Colorado is considered a significant battleground state in 2010, and its politics have been roiled by the recent announcement by Democratic Governor Scott Ritter that he will not seek re-election. Ritter had been trailing former Congressman Scott McInnis in the polls. Ralph also attended the Rough Rider breakfast the following morning, which was keynoted by business leader Foster Friess, a good friend and supporter of FFC.
“We are excited about what Faith and Freedom Coalition has already accomplished in 2009. Our goal is to build a grassroots organization that will be a permanent fixture on the Colorado political landscape,” said John Ramstead, chairman of the Faith and Freedom of Colorado. “The enthusiasm and excitement that has greeted our launching FFC here in Colorado has been overwhelming.”
